The Green Communities Project is working to enhance biodiversity in Central Park. To do this, we need to keep building on the data we already have, to see any changes in biodiversity over time.
We will be carrying out a butterfly walk in Central Park, anyone is welcome to join! We will be talking about the native species of butterfly as well as what they like to eat, where they ley their eggs and what you can do to help. We have all the necessary resources to catch, identify and safely release butterflies so no need to bring any kit with you. However, if you have your own butterfly equipment feel free to bring it.
No prior experience needed, all ages and abilities are welcome to join. However, we kindly ask children under the age of 13 are accompanied by an adult.
Please wear appropriate weather gear, and wear sturdy shoes or boots, as we will be on slightly uneven ground.
Email if you have limited mobility or any other health/accessibility concerns that we may need to know about. i.e. allergy to bee stings, severe anaphylactic allergies. If you have any other questions or concerns, Email us at Jess.Jordan@nationaltrust.org.uk or holly.maher@plymouth.gov.uk
