Devil's Point Blossom Festival
We had a blooming wonderful time celebrating blossom at Devil's Point Blossom Festival...
On Saturday 29th April, a Blossom Festival was hosted at Devil's Point as part of the National Trust's countrywide celebration of blossom. The event was held in the site's brand new blossom circle, which was buzzing with performers, people, poetry, and more...
The event celebrated the renewal and hope which blossom symbolises, and the improvements which have been made to the site over the course of the Blossom Together project. This includes the new amphitheatre circle- surrounded by blossom trees, benches for picnics and watching the waves, a new path up to the top of the site, a new sign all about nature above and beneath the waves, and the installation of a stunning piece of seagrass art by local artist, Rosie Sherwood.
Members of the community were treated to creative workshops from Beyond Face CIC and Creative Arts Therapy Devon, stilt walkers strutting their stuff, the Green Minds team, the National Marine Park team, and the South West Coast Path. Over 120 people joined in the celebrations and, together, we celebrated the beauty of nature in spring, enjoying this special space where green and blue meet.
The event and improvements were funded by the National Trust in partnership with the People's Postcode Lottery.
