Green Communities at Nature Connections Conference 2025
Liz and Emmie from our Green Communities team were delighted to share 2 posters at the Nature Connection conference in Derby this week!
The event was filled with inspiring speakers, sunshine, workshops, and opportunities to hear about what's happening nationally to promote, sustain, and measure Nature Connectedness across the UK and beyond!
This conference is hosted by the University of Derby’s Nature Connectedness Research Group (NCRG), which aims to advance understanding of human-nature relationships and ways of improving them, for the well-being of humans and the rest of nature.
Key themes will include:

- Health and Wellbeing
- Children, Young People and Education
- Engaging with Nature
- Arts and Culture
- Policy
Liz and Emmie added to the conversation with their posters on the Green Communities model as a method of nurturing nature connected urban communities, and the role of digital badges in promoting pro-environmental behaviour and employability.
They had a wonderful time and have come back buzzing with ideas and inspiration...
