Litter picking hub launched at Central Park

Our Green Communities team has launched a litter picking hub in Central Park with Clean Our Patch.

This is a project led by Clean Our Patch, and the Green Communities team have been working with them to set up a hub in the Central Park Meadow Cafe.

What is a litter picking hub? It's a place where you can borrow litter picking equipment to complete a litter pick in your local area!

It's simple to get involved, go into the meadow cafe and ask the staff for the litter picking equipment, you will have to sign in and read the health and safety information. Then you're free to pick, for as little or as long as you'd like. All the equipment is there, including purple bin bags, hoops, litter pickers, and gloves.

Once you have completed your pick, put the bag next to a Plymouth City Council bin, head back to the cafe, to let them know the equipment is back safe, there will be a QR code to scan to log the bags, or send Clean Our Patch a message to let them know.
