West of the City planting plans

Green Communities and Plymouth & South Devon Community Forest are working with Plymouth Community Homes to plant a variety of trees this spring 2025, to make places better for both people and nature.

The designs are based on suitability for trees, how the spaces are used, and have been checked to make sure they'll be in an appropriate place, and will be supported by feedback from the local community. Over the next 5 years as they establish, they'll be cared for by Plymouth & South Devon Community Forest, and we would love to see you get involved with looking after these trees too!

We have created a guide with the trees that can be planted in your neighbourhood, and we're keen to find out which ones your community likes.
