Argyle Community Trust
Through our work with Argyle Community Trust, based at the heart of Plymouth in Central Park, we have co-delivered a programme of social prescribing events.
These events often feature an element of fitness- be it a walk or a sports session, where we've worked alongside them to incorporate elements of nature, too. An example of this is through the Compassionate Café which ACT runs for older members of the community who may be experiencing isolation. A member of the ACT team will lead them on a walk, and a member of the Green Minds team will accompany to point out some of the nature in the park. We also deliver a 'Green Hands' series of practical conservation sessions at Central Park, which offers people the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and get a bit muddy!
