Interested in permaculture? Want to learn more? Find out more about this one day permaculture course below...

What is Permaculture? Where does it come from? Why is it relevant today?

This one-day course will answer these questions and much more. If you are curious about Permaculture but not quite ready to take the leap to a full PDC course, then this is a great way of learning a bit more about this fascinating subject.

The course will be facilitated by the Plymouth Natural Grid team, with help from the Poole Farm team. The introductory workshop will be held in The Lookout building at Poole Farm in Forder Valley Plymouth.

This course is for anyone who believes that we need to find ways to care for ourselves, for each other, and for the Earth.

This course is for 16 years of age and above only.

Please wear appropriate footwear, wellies or walking boots as the walk to The Lookout can be quite muddy after rain. Remember to wear lots of layers and bring along waterproofs, a water bottle, snacks, and lunch.

To get to the farm you can take the 50 or 51 bus to Keswick crescent and it is a 5-minute walk from there. For those driving to the farm please park in Rydal Close residential car park. To get to the car park please put '23 Rydal Close' into your satnav and turn right once it says you have arrived at your destination. This will get you to the car park and you will see the 'Derriford Community Park,' sign at the far end of the car park.

Please contact us at derrifordcp.cp@plymouth.gov.uk or 07500 075719 if you have any questions.

This event is part of our Green Minds Spark Sessions programme at The Lookout, Poole Farm. Usually, we would charge for events like this, but our Green Minds funding means we are able to run this workshop for free.
