Free Wildflower and Insect ID Session in Central Park

Join the Green Communities team and Devon Wildlife Trust in Central Park on Monday 1st July to spend some time in our beautiful wildlife meadows!
Learn some key plant and bug species, spend some time in nature and discover the hidden wildlife you walk past every day! This contributes to a wilder, long term monitoring scheme across the city!
We will meet at the clocktower at 12:30pm and walk down to the site we will be monitoring. We will be doing a walk over survey to observe all of the different plants we can see, alongside some quadrat surveys. Finally we will be doing some sweep netting, which involves catching and releasing insects to identify them!
You don't need any experience to join us! Everyone is welcome!
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear as will will be within long grass and uneven ground. Bring plenty of refreshments and sun cream!
