Join the Green Communities team in Central Park on Friday 12th July to enjoy the evening sun while taking a closer look at some of the beautiful trees in the park.

Learn some interesting tree species, spend some time in nature and discover hidden details you may otherwise miss.

Meet us in the Family Tree Field, a short walk down from the clocktower (map below). We will start at 3pm. In this session, we will be using the trees as our subject. You will have time to look around the field and find a tree that interests you. We will then begin to draw, firstly for 1 minute, then 5, then 10, and finally, a 30 minute drawing. After we have drawn, we will have time to discuss anything we found, any questions and share any work (no pressure to do this!)

You don't need any experience to join us. Everyone and all art styles are welcome. We will have some supplies and different mediums to use for sketching/painting, but please bring your own if you prefer.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear as areas in this field are in long grass. We will be supplying some tarpaulin, but please bring your own picnic blankets or towels for it to be a bit cosier. Also, please bring plenty of refreshments and appropriate weather protection.

If you have any questions, please email jess.jordan@nationaltrust.org.uk

See you there!
