Get Involved

There are lots of ways in which you can get involved in collecting, improving, or using data from Plymouth’s green spaces.

Join a local group that collects data

From Plymouth Tree Partnership to the Friends groups of particular parks, joining a group is a great way to get started with green spaces data! See here for a list of the groups that we know about, or add more if we’ve missed one out!

Give us feedback on the data available

You might know that some of our data is missing or wrong. Either way, we’d love to hear from you with your comments or questions. Contact hello@thedata.place with any questions.

Send us your data!

Maybe you’ve just surveyed the wildlife in your back garden, spotted something on a walk or been part of a field trip with a group? Send us your data through Devon Biodiversity Records Centre https://www.dbrc.org.uk/wildlife-sightings/ or through the iRecord nature app.

Come to a workshop

Once COVID restrictions have been eased, we are planning to run some field data gathering workshops, including mapping trees. See the planned events here. DataPlay events are where lots of ideas happen for people to play with the city’s data!/ Check their website for the latest news.
