Keyham’s Greenspace Plan taking root

We’re working with Plymouth Together to help make the greenspaces of Keyham feel safer, more welcoming and accessible, and better for wildlife.

Keyham’s green spaces are improving. Over the next couple of years visitors to Alexandra Park, North Down Crescent Park, Marley Park, Knowle Avenue and Linear Park will be able to see the improvements funded by the Home Office’s Safer Keyham grant and Green Minds.

You can see the Keyham Greenspace Plan draft designs here, which will be finalised with a local landscaping firm who’ll work alongside community groups such as Keyham Neighbourhood Watch.

From mid-March tree planting and wildflower sowing will take place in some of the green spaces and there will be community fruit tree planting in Knowle Avenue alongside work with the 1st Keyham Scout Group to create a hedgerow. Green Minds is also working with Pollenize and the mini-police from Keyham Barton Catholic Primary, Drake Primary and Ford Primary to create a small wildflower area in North Down Crescent Park.
