Land Registry team volunteers at Central Park

We were thrilled to host a volunteering day in Central Park with a team from the Land Registry.

Helped us to help nature as well as our fellow Plymouthians

The Green Communities team and all of the Plymouth City Council gardeners joined up to deliver a corporate volunteer day for the Land Registry at Central Park!

The Land Registry team voted on how they would like to spend their volunteering day, and they chose to join us at Central Park! We did some gardening and site maintenance at Central Park's formal gardens around Pounds House- all pitching in together to make the area better for wildlife and for people! This involved weeding beds, clearing around the azaleas, and cutting back the foliage in the ancient Devon lanes so they come back bright and colourful in spring. We also taught the volunteers how to care for newly planted trees as well as some other important site maintenance that ensures that the park's nature is ready to hunker down for winter.

With the 15 amazing volunteers gardening for 5 hours each, the Land Registry team gave a huge total of 75 volunteering hours! Thanks so much to the Land Registry for joining us- we had an amazing day and got a lot done!

Very satisfying day with great company. The sense of achievement is immense and the PCC gardeners are ace!
