New Green Communities Project Launched!
We are excited to launch our brand new Green Communities project!
Based in Devonport, Central Park, and Keyham, the Green Communities team will work with local communities to make their spaces even better for wildlife and for people.
Building on the work of the Green Minds project, each of the 3 hubs will have a Neighbourhood Team made up of a National Trust ranger and a Plymouth City Council officer. If you see them out and about, have a chat with them about your ideas to make nature spaces better for wildlife and for people.
From volunteering opportunities to green skill sharing sessions, free events and much more, keep an eye on this page to find out how you can get involved!
Green Communities is a partnership project between Plymouth City Council, National Trust, Devon Wildlife Trust, Real Ideas Organisation, and Zebra Collective. It is a pilot project funded through a combination of grants and contributions, including support from Heritage Lottery Fund Urban Nature Development Grant and Natural England.
