Plymouth's Boat Poets exploring language of rewilding!
Green Minds has teamed up with Boat Poets to host two paid writing residencies for local poets.
Following a call out over the summer, we received many wonderful and inspiring applications from local poets to become Plymouth's 2022 Boat Poets.
The selection process was difficult, with so much talent shown from all around the city, but in the end, Shaday Barrowes-Bayewunmi and Kane John Mills were chosen! Find out more about the 2 poets here.
Over the month of September, Shaday and Kane will head to some Plymouth's wild and watery places, looking to explore the language of rewilding through their writing. Using the natural world as inspiration, the poets will compose creative pieces, which will reflect upon their experiences.
Following their creative process, Shaday and Kane will be performing their pieces in late autumn- keep an eye on the Green Minds events webpage to find out where and when!
