Tree Care with Stiltskin!
Our Green Communities team have been helping out at Stiltskin Creative Arts & Theatre Co. in Devonport!
Last week, the Green Communities team took the opportunity to do some tree care on trees planted by Stiltskin. The trees had been caged but not yet mulched. Mulching helps trees by keeping water around their roots and slows other plants growing around the trees which would steal their food (nutrients in the soil!). The trees are now tucked in for winter, and the team even found a few caterpillars nearby, a good sign for the months to come!
