Michele, Community Life And Wildlife
As a project, we are fortunate to work with a number of amazing wildlife champions- members of the Plymouth community who are making change on the ground, in their communities, and supporting others to do the same. An example of one of these people is Michele Jackson, founder and coordinator of Community Life And Wildlife and key member of the Friends of Efford Marsh group.
Last year, Michele won an Abercrombie Award which recognised one of her projects as the Best Community Project in Plymouth. It is through working with people like Michele and our network of Friends of Groups across the city that we are able to not only make sure that our nature spaces even better for wildlife, but also to connect them up. They are frequently working with the Green Minds team and the Council more broadly to create wildflower meadows, plant trees, and create new spaces where nature can thrive. Here is Michele talking more about her work.
